There’s a little more than a week left in this first month of 2022. Are you a resolution setter? Do you stick to goals? Or do find it difficult to keep on track? I haven’t made resolutions for many years now, as I tend to leave them by the wayside by the end of February!   But, this year I’ve decided I will focus on small steps to achieve my larger goals.

I’ve done well in the first few weeks of the new year. The small quilt tops below have backings and battings cut in preparation to be quilted. They’ll be ready for Christmas 2022!projects ready to quilt

I’m working step by step, one shelf area at a time, in my studio, organizing items to make them easier to locate and access. In the process, I feel better about parting with items I don’t see myself using anymore. And gosh, does it feel refreshing!

I sewed the fleece baby blanket (pictured below) for my new grand-nephew. I followed a very easy tutorial from Shabby Fabrics at this YouTube URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tJUdL9usoo

Tax records are ready for the accountant, which is earlier than ever!

I have the upcoming week fairly well-organized and look forward to more sewing and designing sprinkled with small steps of organizing.  I will post on Monday my sneak peek of the January Ohio Star block Remix I’m working on with other quilt pattern designers.

I hope all of you have a wonderful time sewing the things you enjoy, taking small steps as you move forward.
