#SewPink A Tote Bag to Sew
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This is my first year participating in the ByAnnie.com #SewPINK Initiative Blog Hop.
The #SewPink Initiative was created by ByAnnie.com LLC to raise awareness for breast cancer throughout the year.
Efforts culminate in an annual blog hop during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month to promote self-care, awareness, early detection, and support for those affected by breast cancer.

I’ve had friends, colleagues, and relatives who have had breast cancer. My mother had breast cancer in her late 70s. Unfortunately, she passed away 3 years after surgery. Yearly mammograms and monthly self-checks are important.
Would you like to make a Sew Pink tote bag? Use pink fabrics (I used some of my scraps). Soft and Stable from ByAnnie, is great to use.
This block is much simpler to make than you may think. No curved piecing is involved. Use a machine embroidery design on wave units before sewing the block units together. So many layout possibilities! Space in the Sewlebrity Tote for many things!
Double-sided fusible for bonding:

Makes 2 blocks, remove fusible

Mount to background fabric, use embroidery stitches to secure.
