The summer is ending even though weather forecasts predict that warmer weather will still prevail in Michigan. While autumn weather may not be close at hand, I am thinking of sewing projects that express the cooler weather and the color changes outside that will soon be here.

Before beginning those projects, I am straightening and tidying my work area, putting summery colors away, and focusing my mind on two upcoming blog hops I am participating in, which are both scheduled in the same week. Thankfully on different days!

The Seaside Adventures Row Along begins this week. It runs through October. On November 1, there will be a show and tell by some of the designers highlighting the quilts they made using some of the blocks. The block pattern is free during the designer’s featured week. After that week, the pattern is available for a small cost. Each block pattern depicts a seaside image or idea. The patterns vary in size so they can be arranged in various configurations that you decide upon. My block is featured on September 20.

Here are this week’s designers:

The Sew Much Fun Tour continues with 6.5″ blocks to download free for the week of the featured designer’s post. For a small fee, you can obtain any blocks you missed. September 19 my block will be featured, so do return, add it to the collection of sewing-themed blocks you can gather during this year-long event with 52 blocks.

Here are the participating designers:

Enjoy the blog hopping. I’ll be back in a few days to share the quilts I worked on in August.
