Sewing a Scrappy Summer Picnic Party

Use fabric scraps for your summer picnic needs! Carol of Just Let Me Quilt has come up with the Summer Picnic Blog Hop.

I created a fun mug rug, or mat to place condiments.

Front of Mug Rug
Back of Mug Rug

I sprayed a bit of basting spray on a piece of batting cut 9″ x 6″ (your size is changeable). I cut pieces of scraps laying them as I liked. Placing a piece of netting over them and two sewn pieces of scrap fabrics under the batting, I free-motion stitched all to hold everything in place. I trimmed it to a rectangle and put a binding on it.

I could use these on the deck table when friends come to visit. These are so, sew easy to make I hope you try one.

Below is the list of all the participants. There is also a Pinterest page for Scrappy Picnic HERE.

I hope you find many ways to use your scraps this summer.
