Foodie Blog Hop

Do you find food and quilting go together? A quilt gathering involves sharing time with friends doing what we enjoy and part of socializing with people involves sharing snacks or meals. What do you share when you meet with other quilters for a day or weekend of sewing?

Most often I see sweet treats on the food table. Many quilters have brought items like pretzels and chips to share, which aren’t so sweet. I bring vegetables like carrots, celery sticks, and sliced, colored peppers.

Carrot Go Round Block with borders

I participated in a blog hop where each designer created a 12-inch food block. I called my block Carrots Go Round. I haven’t quilted it yet because I want to make two more blocks for a table runner. I have enough vegetable fabric left for that project.

I’m offering the block FREE for the Foodie Blog Hop visitors (expiring May 31, 2022).

Visit my Payhip Shop to get the block for free.

  1. Hi, this is my first visit with you. I think your carrots go round is a cool block. and the idea for a table runner top notch. Thanks for sharing your pattern with us

  2. Great pattern, thanks for the offer. Your table runner will be wonderful. Generally I take fruit to retreat for the nibbles table.

  3. I am glad someone brings healthy foods to group get togethers. Most quilters I know only bring sweets and I don’t eat that stuff. Whenever I bring anything healthy to share, no one eats it! So now I just bring my own food to eat, since I have a strict diet and don’t eat what most other people eat. I love the look of your table runner! Thanks for sharing the pattern!

  4. The website says code is invalid.
It’s so cute and id really love to make it! Thank you!

  5. I love your table runner. this is so fun and happy.
