Sew the Carrots Go Round Block

Carrot Go Round Block with borders

The Quilt Block Mania designers for November are creating food-themed blocks. The photo below shows the inspiration for choosing colors. I thought of heirloom carrots, which I’ve attempted to grow, but the weather in our area of Michigan gets so hot during July that the seedlings just shrivel and die. So my block depicts what I would like to grow!

I hope you enjoy sewing my block. The center needed a bit of bling which then led to the name I gave this paper-pieced block: Carrots Go Round.

It’s available at my Payhip shop HERE.

I printed and sewed four 6.5″ square unfinished carrot units. The green triangle in each corner aligns in the center of the block creating a pinwheel effect when completed. Add a border and you will have a table topper or small wall hanging. It would make a nice market tote, too.

The other participating designers who have blocks for you to download through November 2021 are listed below. I hope you sew one or more wonderful quilted projects using all these blocks! Please leave a comment telling me how you like this hop and sign up for my monthly newsletter to find out so many things about quilting.
