Beach Ball Quilt Block

Do you enjoy fun at the beach? Have you played with beach balls in or out of the water? Sewing this beach ball quilt block will prepare you for summer beach time!

Actual fabric beach ball quilt block

Sew a beach ball tote to carry all you’ll need to relax and have fun in or out of the water. Imagine relaxing on a beach-themed quilt that you made using the free beach blocks offered this month by the Quilt Block Mania designers!

Choose fabrics you adore to design your special Beach Ball and make your summer fun! Or make a fun item for someone special.

Sew the pattern easily using a raw-edge applique technique of topstitching pieces that butt against each other.

OR, use the pattern’s detailed instructions to fold and attach (I use a glue stick) overlapping edges. Then use decorative or straight stitches to sew the pieces together. (There are a few more easy steps to applique the ball to the background.)
